thanks for the nice words guys. Dan the headers are hedman. after i installed them and made some minor modifications i sent them out for ceramic coating .the air cleaner is just what i picked up at the FLAP store.I decided to move the battery to rear as i wanted a smooth firewall.still working on the smooth part. more pics later.today i finished the steering coloum mount and got the clutch and brake pedals aligned fairly close.

Time for an update now that ecj-5 is back.got the new dash finished and ready to paint.contacted autobody shop about doing remaining body work and painting the whole thing bright yellow.took the jeep and parts there wed. 5-27 things are look'in up.will test fit new after market fenders to hood and grille than disassemble whole thing with tub off frame.Iwill try to get progress pics as the work goes along. I'm back to not doing pics. there was a thing that said "manage attachments" that would let you load pics.not sure what to do.

Well the jeep is at the body shop.tried to test fit the OMIX-ADA fenders today.the cutout for the upper shock mount is in the wrong place for this application. We will have to cut out the inner fender well for the correct location, then piece in the area where the other cut out is.$$$$$$$$.just more pain with these fenders. never again.i thought my old fenders were bad but I would have been better off to repair the O.E.M. ones. After we get that out of the way things will progress on the tub.starting to get really excited.they will be ordering all the material soon.FLAME yellow.can you say BRIGHT.i have to figure out this pics deal sense the forum returned.PM me if you can help with pics.

Update on resto-mod 69 cj.since i last was here i have retrived the jeep from the body shop that i thought was going to be able to get the job done.to make a sad story short ,it did not work out.jeep is back home(thank god) and is doing better.I installed a LOKAR floor mount e-brake.i did not want the stock e-brake cable in the engine bay.running the fuel lines . supply and return.ordered aluminum stock to make seperator/hold down brackets.About half done with rotiserrie project.should have the tub on rotiserrie in a week or so.bolted up the fenders (omix-ada) and grille.found the upper shock mount cut-out was in wrong place.cut out the inner fender well to clear shock mount.will have to weld a piece in were wrong cutout was.more work.I have pics in photo bucket but don't know how to link them over to here.i am going to keep taking pics and some day figure it out.Lots of welding and metal work to do on tub.
