In the last post i put up pics of new dash panel, V-6 emblems before and after rechroming and painting.the colors aren't perfect but i am happy with them.i am going to use the two extra emblems on my car show sign.the hand brake is from Lokar and works real good.the stainless heater hoses and firewall bulkhead are from Godman Performance.Ihad to make a adapter to connect to the water pump as it is 3/4".working on line clamps for fuel lines next.

Looks very nice! I like the park brake. My Dad has an auto trans. shifter from Lokar, and it's really nice...
    You do some clean work.

Pics of front fenders and hood and grille.i am happy with the space that is fairly even around the hood.next thing, take them off and mount tub on rotisserie.i was test fitting because the fenders are after market.

Well I got the rotisserie finished and the tub mounted to it.Idecided to put this on my restoration thread rather than the rotisserie thread. This thing works AWSOME .kudo's to Tommy B. for putting the plans with all the details on ECJ5 forum.Turns 360* with one hand. The only thing I would have done was make the stanchion 6" shorter as Tommy B. recommended.I love this thing! As you can see it fit perfect, first time no mods.I put in a pic of my little trailer that I haul the engine hoist on.I used it to lift tub off frame and mount to rotisserie.I can load and unload by myself and have hauled several engines with it for friends.Just a real handy little trailer to have.

Good saturday morning to all. Some pics of engine after i got back from machine shop.I deburred the block and heads with die grinder and got things smoothed up inside and out.than it was several bathes with hot water and detergent.bore brushes are a must to clean all oil passages.after dryng and oiling cylinder bores i was ready to mask-off for painting.Paint was POR-15 high pigment engine paint. I ordered Buick turquise but that was mostly blue,so i ordered yellow .I slowly added the yellow to the blue until i got the green i wanted.this is a little different than Alpine Green, but still not the exact dauntless color.I decided that I liked it OK so I started painting. As you can see all the parts were painted individally.I used the Harbor Freight detail gun and it worked great.didn't get any pics of actual assembly because i was to excited to finally be putting it together. this was on 3-18-2008

Actually I did notice the parts on the bench looked quite different than the ones under the flash..
I never found the Buick color, so I use the Poncho blue. That's the only reason I mentioned it..;)

I think they should appoint a presidential council to get to the bottom of this "DAUNTLESS ENGINE PAINT " problem.somewhere someone has to know the formula. I believe the pontiac blue is real close as you said.

We had a lengthy thread some time ago. IIRC, Detroit Diesel Alpine Green, or somesuch, was really close.

Howdy, just thought I would get my build thread up to date.Took the tub on rotiseerie with the rest of body to the body and paint guy.He will finish work on body and then paint.Color will be Mustang zinc yellow code B-7. Ordered a new metal gas tank from keizer/willys parts.hope to adapt the v6 fuel sender to 6 hole mounting on new tank.we will see.started polishing some of the stainless parts.got the latch for swing out tire carrier from Mcmaster-Carr.It was available in stainless steel .Ordered hood welting kit from HERM.Lots of work to do while waiting for body to get done(2-3 months ) really don't know how long it will take. The guy doing the body/paint did my 66 Ford F-100 about 10 years ago so i know he will do a great job.He works full time and does the paint stuff on the side at his home.Nothing really new as far as pics go.Installed the electric choke kit on carb. (5 minutes).thats it for now.

the new metal fuel tank arrived today.quality seems to be good.i think the sending unit will work with a little modification.will take pics today of adapter ring.also bought tailgate chains from KAISER/WILLYS that are sharp looking.hooked up sender to autometer gauge (73-10 ohm) and it worked perfect.

Got a couple pics of fuel sender install.didn't go to bad considering.the tank has a 1/4" flare fitting in the bottom for 4cyl. so you will need a 1/4" flare plug for that.made my own spacer and ring.not to technical just thought i would share this.
