Yesir and yes it does! And even with the frame 1 3/4" shorter too
Now...For the pitman arm, it's a tad long... Guess I'll be spending some time at the U Pull unless someone else has an idea?

That arm is a stock length from a CJ7...Will trying to replace it with a shorter one lose some leverage? Or make my steering geometry go all funky like?

Finished the back and now to grind and bondo R) Then tailgate and primer [IMG]
Got my plate drilled, need to grind the spacers down so it's not crazy mounted
    [IMG]
    Ends of the bumper capped
    [IMG]
    Uhh What else
    Oh found the Hawse finally
    I plan to run synthetic
Not the best looking fair lead but it's sentimental (dads old one) plus can't beat free (and spiders too!)
Front end will be CRAZY crowded. Will weld a hich tube to the bottom then
    [IMG]
Does this look like a good way to mount the bumper? Weld these plates to the horns, then bolts into the nuts welded to the tube?
And rear, it will be about that close

that thing is looking good. Definitely gonna be retro with the old bellview winch out front.

But jeeze you post like crazy. only been here what, 10-11 months and already 725 posts?!?! You sir, might be a post whore.

I wish I had that kinda time to work on my jeep. I can even find the time to go and change out the distributor.

    nice work.

is that bad I post much? ;)

I hope it is going to look retro ish, keeping the tire on the side will help that, the Warn OD and the old stlye Warn hubs also help too I think :)
But, I fear I will be going synthetic so it's not fully old school.

Sammy - your bumper mount is simular to the one I just finished for the back of mine - I recessed the nuts in the bumper. Mine uses 2 bolts at 3 points (ends and mid) to move the bumper off the rear crossmember.

Three pics - so you can see how it's mounted. The stock is 2X3 and I will be building 2x2 and 1X1 racks on it for tire, cans, jack, and tools (later in the summer).

If you don't mind, how did you get the nuts sunk into the steel?

Lined up the holes - Drilled bumper the diameter of the nut and welded them in.

    That would work, hmm...
Chuck do you think it would be just to surface weld the nuts to the bumper rather than recess them?
