    No flaps around here - only Advanced Auto and O'Reileys. Anyone find them there? Other places? :?

    need to lines out of the mason jar: one has a long end that goes to the wheel cylinder. the other has a short end and goes to a VACUUM PUMP. I use a board to wedge the brake pedal down. next hook up the lines. apply the vacuum untill no bubbles appear in the jar.

    O'Reilly and Autozone and NAPA and CarQuest ARE my FLAPS around here. :?

    Are they not a FLAPS? To me that always indicated "Friendly Local Auto Parts Store". They're local and friendly as opposed to having to go online or catalog order.

    Maybe I just misinterpreted all these years?

    i'm with tim... throw some r/c car fuel line on there and pump away until there aren't any bubbles. it's worked every time andgoes fairly quickly unless a bleeder gets wrung off.

    :oops: :oops: :oops:
    Sorry, not up-to-speed with the jargon. Twenty-to-thirty odd years ago, (B.C. - before computers) when I tinkered with car stuff, acronyms weren't used that much unless you wanted to cuss politely! Sometimes I feel as though I just woke up after being in a coma for decades. Even going to the parts store (FLAPS :rofl: ) is an adventure - "computer's down - sorry, can't help you!" Thank goodness there are still a couple of places in town that are run by old geezers that know their stuff.
    Rant=off.

    P.S. - Where's that "corner" everyone speaks of - I think I need to go there. :)
