Great news, glad you found your problem. The good part is if this happens again you will know exactly what caused it and what to do. Learning new things is what makes jeeping fun, Good show.

Two prong connectors attached directly to the injector.

Good grief, that is easier than changing jets and rods.

Jeff came over to lend a hand yesterday morning and a good part of today. We got a good bit done.

I bought the steering box brace kit on Amazon. I was looking for the clamp only because I thought it was likely to need modification. It did.

we built the new rod. Then tapped and welded a plate to the bottom of the frame. the rod now bolts to the frame for easy removal.

I put the belt on the PS pump and bled the system. I did have a small leak at this compression fitting. Another 1/4 turn fixed the problem.

Next I installed a new steering stabilizer. The clamp is very close to the Dif cover so I put some fresh paint on the cover to easily see if it hits.

Winch went back on very easy.

I’m sure there was more but that’s all I have pictures of.

    Sunday was body repair day.

I’ll finish welding it up in the next couple days and make it look pretty.

Nice work. I can't tell, but did you get the little bend at the bottom of the rocker panel? I'm thinking about how to do that.

All bends for front, bottom edge and curves/bend for the wheel opening are done. $50 is definitely worth the time saved.

Body work just takes me so long. And it’s not close to being straight/flat.

Remember a page back, I had to replace the lower body sections. It was original rusty and the sliders were pretty much ripped off.

I’m going to follow Kyle’s advice this time and bolt the sliders up thru the floor. With spacers and big washers.

    One side almost done.

I also made a brace from the front of the slider that connects to the angled “toe board”. Hard to get a decent photo of that while installed.

The brace on the front of the slider is a twisted piece of 1/8 x2” that’s welded to the bottom of the slider and then bolted to the toe board. It doesn’t add a ton of strength but it’s light and easy to build.

    Ready for paint.

Bolted the hood on and strapped it down. Rode once around the block.

The old Herm power steering was good but the Saginaw was very smooth and easy. Brakes need to be bled again. Engine ran good. It’s only once around the block but it felt good to have her running.

The paint came out really good with a $19 Harbor Freight paint gun. I’ve used this same gun 3 or 4 times now.

Match is good enough for me.

Fenders came out great. (for bondo over rust).
