Engine Swap...

I'm doing a Mercruiser 181 in my A1. Eventually... Right now the F-head is trucking along. I bought an '80 model IO boat with a 181 in it for the donor. I've also picked up (2) 153 from postal jeeps. A running one that came out of a rat rod project and a locked up one in a complete postal. I bought a Hyster 50 forklift with a jacked up ring and pinion and pulled the 3.0 GM on LPG I plan on swapping into the Postal. Except for the one piece rear main (circa 1990) intake, exhaust, etc. looks like the 153.

With 4 of the 'bangers in the shop I'm starting to look like a clearing house! Hope no one is in a big hurry for my updates. ;-)

Contact Ragnar4x4x4. He has a 153 in his flatfender and does very well. Iirc he was on last years or the year before Rubicon run and there are pics and info. I've wheeled with him and while no speed demon his works exceedingly well and I'd be happy to own his.
