    When i got the jeep the PO installed an HEI kit new wires and such.

    Should i leave it or go back to original dist ,when i restore it ?

    The HEI is a very good upgrade so I would keep it. If you want (for some reason) to stay original then the stock delco is pretty easy to find right now but maybe not in a few more years. Get one while you can and store it for future. New owner may want to go back all stock if you decide to sell.

    WOW !! great advice. that is what I will do , just in case, LOL so simple an idea , slipped my thoughts LOL

    I guess ill get a parts list up LOL,

    my radiator is being 3 cored as we speak, and the new oddfire, (the dist in it PO installed the wrong one it is regular/even hehe ) dist from summit is on the way .

    That is why I am here.

    With out this site or guys like you and others , this would be a thousand time harder, for us rookies


    And to add , you know , I couldnt imagine doing it without this site or you guys.

    To "restore" something is to put it back to original.
    I agree the HEI is a great conversion, but it certainly is not original, so if you want to restore your Jeep it needs an original distributor, not an HEI.
