So my dad and i got out 70 painted and i had a few questions. One does any early 5 have a hood prop? and also when we put the empty gas tank back in, we connect the lines, then fill with gas, is there anything else we need to do? is there any way we need to prime it before we start it?

if you have a mechanical pump it will pick up the prime after cranking it a while, or you can pour a little gas down the carb and start it, it may die a couple times before it gets gas pumping. If its electric it'll prime itself turn on the key and you can hear when it pressures up. As far as hood props i dont know my 68 has a hook on the window frame and a loop on the hood.

My '70 had a hood prop rod. It's long gone, along with the original hood. I just flip it back against the windshield, with a rag to protect the paint.
