Dana 30 flange/hub gasket?

    Do I need to use the paper gasket in between the flange and the hub on my dana 30 or will RTV be fine?

    I think a small amount of RTV would work fine, I personally have never used that gasket or RTV. My jeep didn't have one when I bought it and I didn't know about that particular gasket until recently. I think it's to keep stuff out more than to keep the grease in.

    I use RTV. Gave up on gaskets for the hubs years ago. Have had grease work out between the hub and locking hub body without it and fling grease everywhere. Ymmv.

    Hum like 74 renegade said, i never use any gasket and i never had issue with that....rtv should work fine but juste a little to make sure everything work good!!!
