I was at the carwash to day and got my dizzy a bit wet.. Made it home and opened the dizzy to look inside. . There was a bit of moisture, so I went to remove the rotor to look underneath.. Still haven't got the rotor off, but found the problem as the coil wire came loose.. I am changing the ignition in the next few weeks along with a TBI installation, but am curious as to how the Prestolite rotor is removed.. Anyone know?

The prestolite rotor is probably stuck. Give it a good yank.

They're push on so it should just pull straight up and off unless the spring tab is rusted to the shaft.

All I know is that baby will not move.. As I said, it is going to be replaced soon. I am curious as to why it will not come off. Something is definitely stuck..

Superglued? Usually it's the exact opposite, sloppy and floppy.

Try gently rocking it back and forth as heat or rust as mentioned can cause them to stick in place.
