Can somebody tell me what year of a doner I need to be looking for to get a steering pump bracket for a 225? I found a late 70s buick 231 but the bracket was mounted low with the polution pump on top of it, will that work or will it be to low?

Works fine with Saginaw steering. Will not work with Hermtheoverdriveguy's reverse steering box mount.

Works finer, take a saw or cutoff wheel to the area that the smog pump was bolted to, this will clean the look up completely.
Ditto what Nick said about Herms steering setup.

Thanks, I don't have the engine sitting in the frame yet and wasn't sure if that bracket would be to low or not

I used a bracket off a 1970 Buick Sylark with a 350. It is a high mount and clears everything fine.
