Today I replaced my dana 300's original yokes with new ones with a toyota flange for my drive lines. The originals have the "shroud" attatched to them and the new ones do not. Will this cause any issues? Also, I have both yokes off a dana 300 and the are FREE to a good home. I will also post them in the "for sale" are as well. Thanks again.

The shield acts as a slinger to deflect dirt, stones, etc away from the seal. It's better to have it on there but not a necessity.
