T-14 Transmission Parts

I am in the process of gathering parts for my 1970 Jeepster/Commando and most of the parts suppliers have listings for the T-14 transmissions under the CJ designation. I have contacted a couple of them (4WD Hardware & Quadratec) and they cant say if the Jeepster T-14 is the same as the CJ T-14 and therefore dont know if the CJ listed parts will fit.

Is the Jeepster/Commando T-14 transmission the same as the CJ T-14 Transmission?

I believe it to be the same but would like someone knowedgable to confirm.

 

All the T-14's I've rebuilt were the same between the Jeepster Commando and CJ as far as the V-6 version of the basic transmission goes. The shifter may have different bends in it however. I can't tell you for certain on that.

The I-6 versions have a different input shaft, front bearing retainer, 2nd gear, and cluster gear iirc (2nd gear is a different ratio).
