71 Filler Neck

I am looking for a filler neck, the metal piece that is held on to the body with two screws. This is the piece that the filler hose connects too and the gas cap attaches to. I have looked and looked with nothing found. Anyone have a source or part number. The metal tab that the screws attach too has broken on mine, and may cause issues, and I would like to replace. Thank You in-advance.

 

Put an ad in the classifieds section or contact the vendors in the where to buy parts sticky post at the top of the section. My understanding is these are hard to find and only available used. If possible I'd fix what you have if possible. Might also try the search function as there might be more info there as well

 

x2 on fixing what you got. Sounds like an easy fix with a little welding
Alternatively, you can hit the junkyard & find something else that will work. I used one off a Ford Ranger on mine. It works fine but looks different from stock.

 

Yes, fix the one you have, or search for a used one. There's no source for an aftermarket replacement AFAIK.

 

Does anyone know if this is the same part used on a DJ5A?
