Can anyone give me a comparison of ride quality with the Superlift springs with the 2.5" built-in lift as compared to the stock military springs? I have an M-38 with the Superlifts. It is still in the assembly stage but a friend says my aftermarket Superlifts are much stiffer in ride quality than the stock leaf springs. He makes this assessment by jumping on my bumpers to check spring compression with the Superlifts installed. I bought the Superlifts thinking I would get a softer ride than the stock military springs, not harsher. Anyone have experience with the Superlifts?

    Thanks,

    Jordan

I have yet to find an after market spring that was as hard as the stock springs. Just make sure they are not over tight and able to flex.

I've still got the original 12 leaf spring on my M38A1 - 1954 - I think ther's more give in my tires than the springs.

Spring technology has come a LONG way since the M-38 was produced. Most lift springs will be better. Make sure your shackle bolts are not overtightened and the shocks are appropriate for the springs. Shocks make a huge difference. The springs will require some break-in time as well. They will be stiff at first but should soften up as the Jeep is used.
