I'm reassembling a knuckle housing. When I took it a part to clean I didn't look too closely to the bolts. Out of the 8 bolts, 6 of them measure approximately 1.46" in length and 2 of them are a tad longer at about 1.65".

When it comes to the kingpin bearings will I have a clearance issue? I assume I'm okay since that's the way they came out but I'd rather learn now than later. Thanks.

would the longer be used up top to hold a brake hose bracket or something similar ?
    I don't recall
it won't affect the bearings but I'm trying to visualize clearance issues inside the knuckle

I think jpflat2a has it down. Inthink the longer bolts were to hold the bracket for the metal "s" brake line in place

I agree the longer bolts are for the brackets, I just put flat washers on the long bolts after upgrading to 11" drums and eliminating the brackets so I wouldn't have to worry about clearances.
