I would put a post on the wanted board but I want to make sure that I am asking for the right thing and know what years would also work on my rig so that my post is as broad as possible. I have a 1970 CJ5 V6 225 and it is missing the flywheel cover. I see 4 bolt holes on the bell housing that I suspect it mounts to.

If anyone has one laying around they don't mind parting with let me know or if there is something else I should be calling this part or if more information is needed let me know?

    Moved to proper forum.

Protect yourself when dealing with Ryan. He was banned from this site for a reason.

Jpflat2a, could you make a template of it? I used to have a real nice template I made years ago when I was making aluminum replacements but it disappeared. I have a hunch where it went but no proof. I could pull the one off the Daughter's Jeep but it isn't really perfect enough for a template.

If you could make a clean one and send it to me I could make a metal template again and would be happy to post it up on this site when I have time.

I have 2 on a shelf right now including one I got from you Nick. Let me know if one of those would work as well for a template too.

Guess I could make some from the ones I have if folks need them as well.

It's one of those parts that people seem to need fairly often for some reason. Pretty sure Nick (among others) had problems dealing with him, but I think others have done ok. Nick is just warning you to be careful dealing with him. From what I read into this thread, Nick and / or Chuck are willing to make a template (or possibly the plates) for those who need them.

Here's what an original looks like:

The quality of most of his parts is typically ok. I just don't agree with his "business ethics" i.e. he tried to cheat me a couple times and we were supposed to be friends. He's done the same to lots of other people I know as well. I've known him since high school and he lives about 8 blocks from me. I won't sell to him or buy from him.

Again, he was banned from here years ago for a reason and has made himself unwelcome in other places as well.

Not sure about making the covers but I could make a good template with measurements and what not and could post it up here. Wouldn't be "professional" but would get the job done.

I've got the 16 gauge steel, originals to use for a model, looking at a bead roller (but not required), but wouldn't be able to get to it for a couple weeks.
