Gas feed

    This is the thing i ran out of gas tuning my :v6:with a manuel fuel pump.I put new fuel in and it wouldnt get gas to the carb.Took off the feed line from the fuel pump blew air in it and bam gas came runnin.Tank is clean i dont know funny any answere would be nice chainsawguy

    Either a valve in the pump is sticking or debris in the line. Most likely some debris in the line. Doesn't take much.

    I have a vented cap tank is stainless steel and clean but i guess i doesnt take much to clog.I also have a filter between tank and pump.Oh well i hope it doesnt happen again thanks.

    Long time back, I had a 51 jeep pickup that some one (a PO) left the cap off of and hornets got in and built a nest. The guy cleaned it out as best he could filled it with gas and put a cap on. Ran fine, though every couple of months or so it would suck up small pieces of nest material and clog. Just hook up a tire pump to the feed line from the tank to the fuel pump and blow back through the system to clear it. Minor inconvenience.
