   If I understandyour questions correctly -
   1. The HEI has a coil in the cap, no remote coil anymore. If you are talking about the cap's coil? You can buy a $30 coil, clear up to $80+. I bought cheap and it's running great.
   2. It plugs into the cap, it can only go in one way.
