I am installing my buick 225 bell to my sm420 and using a stock dauntless clutch fork...the problem I
Having is the fork doesn't seem to be engaged far enough on the throwout bearing

I looked at jims recent swap and his fork sticks onto the bearing alot further

    Here is a pic:

    Ideas?

Overall length on the fork seems to be about 8 and 5/8ths

    nickmil In mothballs.

Is this an aftermarket replacement like Omix/Ada or Crown? If so that's your problem. I've experience issues with their arms for this application not being right.
