Yes, I think all the closed knuckles will interchange. I know the 44 knuckles will work on a 25. Only ones I am not sure about would be the Bud wheel version used on the dually FC 170's but suspect those are also interchangable.

I just found the whole powersteering set up for $100. It's off of a rolled 72 cj5. Would this bolt on to my dauntless?

No. Pump brackets from an AMC engine are vastly different. You could probably use the hoses and the gear box. Gear box mount will still need fabricated.

No, not any more than parts from a GM car would bolt on. A lot changes for the 1972 model. The engine parts (pump, brackets) are completely different from what you need for a 225. The pump would work, but it's no different from what you would get from a GM car. The steering gear bracket is a scarce part, but it won't fit your frame. It's also a big iron casting, and can't be easily reworked. You could cut the front crossmember from the '72 and weld it in to your frame. Then the steering gear bracket would work. The steering gear could be used without change, but it's not different from the gear used in a GM car. The column and steering shaft parts might be useful, but they will not bolt in - they would have to be adapted.

So, if you get everything for $100, it may be worth it. But it won't bolt in, not by a long ways.
