My observation was that while the shaft size was correct the tractor supply one where way to big overall. Contact

mdmeltdown on here, he had a good source for close to the right Joints. They are much smaller in diameter more like a steering joint.

Depending on your location any of the above could be resources. Six States Distributing is also a good resource. We have one local and that's where I go for quite a bit of that type of stuff as they normally have it in stock.

    Hi Group
First thanks for everones help. I did find my cure from Tractor supply.
Yor are correct the ones from TSC are a little biger than those from
Ramsey Winch. But the price is the kicker the ones from TSC
are 40% cheper than those fractory ones like Ramsey
But I do have one other question ? Should the cable spoll out
for over the top , or under the winch or does it matter
    Thanks again Bob

Mine definitely come out over the top. I think there would be some huge angles if it came from underneath.

The winch pulls its rating on the first wrap around the spool, on the 2nd and 3rd wraps, it is at a mechanical disadvantage due to the spool effectively having to turn a longer lever arm to lift the same weight. So it is technically not a matter of how long the cable is, but how much is wrapped around the drum while you're pulling that affects the "strength" of the winch.

For example, if you put 150 feet of cable on your winch, and your drum was able to accept 50 feet of cable for each layer, for 3 layers total, the winch will be able to pull more weight with 125 feet of cable spooled out than with only 25 feet of cable spooled out.
