Thinking about getting rid of the PTO!

    I've had some problems with the PTO. PO added it, and he had to "modify" the tub for it, did a bad job. bent the tub up to accommodate it, just overall, it was a bad addition. (actually, i think the tub and frame were not original to each other, and he made quick fixes.

    1. Get rid of the PTO, and Koenig winch, which I will probably never need based on what I do.

    2. Get rid of the PTO, change the winch.

    3. re-fab some sheet metal to accommodate it.

    dont know, still thinking on this one.

    I've got a Koenig on mine--thay are a cool option. Since thay are relatively scarce, you might regret getting rid of it later. You may even end up with another Jeep to put it on:beer:

    What mods to the tub did he do? I run Koenig/King pto winches on most of my Jeeps and have never had to modify the tub like you describe.....

    vote for #3. more than likley he got the wrong pto, they made different versions for the trucks, wagons, and FC
