after hours of work i finally got my new ez wiring harness installed and everything works....phew....pulled off the wheels today and decided i need to replace the entire brake system. i tyhink i'll swap the rears for some 11" drums. i'd like to put disc brakes on the front if it isn't too dificult. any ideas on what will best fit my 67 roadster? i've read a few of the old posts and didn't really learn much. can anyone tell me what they used and where they got them?

    From our Technical section.
You might also try doing a search for "disc brake conversion" "disc brakes" "11" drum brakes", etc.
I've been on here since 2002 and this has been a hot topic since then and covered ad nauseum.

Hermtheoverdriveguy and R&P 4 Wheel Drive Parts Inc. both offer 11" drum and disc brake conversions for CJ"s which will work fine on your '67. The procedures should be the same except you should have a firewall mounted M/C instead of under floor.

if he has a D30 rear, isn't the backing plate bolt pattern different than the 44 ?
I don't know which rear axle he has, just asking

I don't recall exactly as I've only done 1 and that was several years ago. Seems like we had to redrill the backing plates and add a spacer between the housing and backing plate but that's going from my weak memory. I can find out though...
