what's your take?

    Here is what i found, what do you think. i have heard mixed opinions on the amc20. i am upgrading my 70 cj5 and i wonder how these will work out under my jeep. love this site.

    Front narrow trac dana 30, 4.56 gears alloy usa big u-joint shafts, heavy duty tie rod and drag link with lock right. $350.00
    Rear model 20 4.56 gears, detroit locker, 1 pc axle shafts $350.00

    If you still have the D18 Tcase - that is a centered axle and can cause issues.

    For future reference. IMHO If you have a flanged rear axle in your 70 now, keep it.

    No great loss. The M20 is considered a cigar butt. Better with one-piece axles, but the tubes are weak.

    And it's a centered axle. And the spring pads are in the wrong place.

    Hold out for a flanged offset 44.

    To add to what Timgr said it also used small axle bearings as well.
