Tranny hard to pull into first when hot

    My T150 3-speed shifts fine when it is cold. After it heats up, it gets harder to shift, particularly when trying to pull it back into first gear when sitting still - it really binds. Haven't started pulling things apart yet; just hoping to get a jump start on the diagnosis if anyone has experienced this same problem. Thanks.

    Check the fluid level and if low top it off. What kind of fluid are you using? Using the wrong type or weight of fluid can cause similar issues.

    Sounds like a small clutch adjustment is in order.

    Or do like we do with the older ones. Shift into second, then into first. something about jogging the gears enough to line up.

    Or does yours have a synchro on first gear? Maybe that is worn a little.
