And completely different from most of the builds but I thought Id share anyhow. Its a 99TJ with a tbi350 with a couple goodies in it, 700r4 trans and a np241 for now, rockwells, 4 link front and back, 2.5 coilovers and 2.5 air bumps on all 4 corners.

Home in the garage on jackstands with a pair of rockwells I had slid under it

Pulled the trans out and changed the output shaft

    Rear axle truss/upper link mounts

Driveshaft mocked in place with upper link in the front  Its gonna be a tight fit

    Some goodies arrived

Decided the old motor mounts and frame rails looked pretty bad so cleaned them up and rebuilt the mounts

Gained some more room for the upper link

Is that tub narrowed in the rear too? Maybe it's just the angle of the pic. It's gonna be BIG that's for sure! Seems like to make those Rockwells work you'd need at least 40" rubber. 44's?

Yes the tub has been dovetailed. I haven't found a good deal on tires yet, but will end up with something in the 40+ range. Frank has some 38s Im gonna borrow to get it rolling though.

That's more along the lines of what I'm used to seeing down here. Rockwells are everywhere!

Scrounged up some 1/4" plate and added it to the top of the workbench to give an area to weld/plasma cut off of easily.

Got started on a crossmember for the lower links for the rear axle.

Got the coilovers in and made a templete to see if it will work for one of the axle mounts, the air bump should hit where the flat part is.

just a question. If you mount your shock like that won't you're movement/adjustment of the 4-link be limited by the radial throw of the spherical end of the shock?

Im not sure what your asking, but the shock gets misalignment spacers. When its finished the bolt will be perpendicular to shock at ride height. That is just a thin piece of metal to "test" out my design for the mount before I cut it out of thicker steel. Plus I need to get the air bumps here to make sure the landing pad at the top of the bracket is in the right place.

Mocked up a upper coilover bracket for the rear. The final version will be cut out of 3/16, dimple died, and plated across the top.
