Speedometer Cable Location

    Just looking at his pics, I cant see any locking hubs on the front axle. Am I missing something or does the front axle turn all the time?:?:?

    There were also Postals that had a Renault engine and the bubble grill. I don't remember which trans but was automatic. I've also had a half a dozen at least 5 lug 5 on 5 1/2" beam (typically kingpin) and tube (typically ball joint) 2 wd fronts and the narrower rear. I have run into some 4 lug units but not as many as the 5 lug. I couldn't tell you for sure what years they were though.

    Those are the factory flanges. Locking hubs were an aftermarket accessory before around 1975, maybe later.

    You don't need locking hubs - but they became so popular that Jeep put them on the option list eventually.
