    Hello

    would someone know where to get the top slider rail ,on the top of a windsheild for a cj-5 or m38a1.It is the part that the old tops use to slide onto on the front of the windsheld

    Did you try any of the vendors listed at the top of this forum under "where to find parts"?
    Might put a WTB ad in the classifieds as well.

    By the way, the ones for the stock pieces for an M38a1 is different from CJ-5. The CJ-5 unit is pretty much straight whereas the M38a1 has a curve to it so if doing a restoration this can make a big difference.

    Check out Midwest Military.com. I believe they home manufacture the slide rails for a1's. its on the last couple pages of the parts list where they show pictures.

    I guess I should be more specific. The Early CJ unit does have a slight curve to it. The M38a1 is much more curved on the ones I've seen. Don't know why. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure.
