Axle Swap?

    OK Gang!

    I want to replace my front and rear axles with Dana 44's with disc brakes. What vehicles would I look for to find these for my Commando (axle ratio is not a factor)? :v6: Thanks!

    My Opinion.

    Waggy narrow trac front wms - wms 61"
    Scout 2 rear wms-wms 58"
    Both 44's

    Bit wide for no fender trim though .

    There are no bolt in unmodified front Dana 44's to fit the Jeepster's or Commando's. They must be either narrowed, custom built, or you must outboard the springs, modify steering, etc. Might try the search function. Lots of discussion covering this on CJ's. The conversion will be similar but as mentioned the mods to the sheetmetal will probably be different than a CJ.
