so i have come into possesing a 93 chev van w/ a recently rebuilt 350tbi. everything is running and in good working order. what i am wondering is what do i need out of the donor vehicel to swap into my 53 3b? i have in my flattie a chev 283 adapted to the t-90 now, so i know i can get it togather im more wondering about ecu's ect. that i need. the van is an auto. also can i use the power steering gear or is it backwards being off a van?

    PCM, DRAC module, wiring harness,
You are going to need some sort of after market vss (vehicle speed sensor) as well. Get everything you think you might need then more. Obviously you will need to source a flywheel, pilot bushing/bearing, possibly clutch assembly, etc. Your 283 flywheel will not bolt up to the '93 crank. They changed in '86 when they went to a one piece rear main seal. You will need an O2 sensor so grab the exhaust as well. Fuel pump, fuel plumbing, etc. It can be done but is not a "bolt in" like another carbureted V-8 would be.

Whats the number on the ecu? the '7747 is the most common to use. You don't NEED a vss but with out it your fuel economy will suffer. The harness pulls out pritty easy and its only a few wires to get it to run. You will need a diffent chip/tune to run the engine with a manual transmission due to some changes in fuel maps and idle speeds.

Plus you t90 wont be long for this world.
