I'm pulling apart a CJ7 with the above transmission.
I'm toying with the idea of putting it in my '77 CJ5 behind a stock 360.
Any good reason it wont fit?

It will bolt right up to the engine with the right bellhousing, clutch, and correct flywheel for the 360. Depending on what you have now you may have to do other modifications like drivelines, moving crossmember or modifying it, etc.

I'm looking at a new flywheel/ring gear and new clutch from the states as I'm in england and S/H V8 bits are rare and usually more $$$$ than buying new.
Anyone know what sort of rear propshaft length I'm looking at here as this is what I'm concerned about.

    A 1981 (T176/D300 came out in '80) CJ5 with the factory 304 V8 and T176 had driveshaft lengths of:

    Front: 29.50"
    Rear: 12.88"

    2H5
