    Hi All,

I am mounting my Dana 30 in my CJ2A, with wrangler springs. What is the best position to mount the shocks, in front of the axle or behind. If I go behind the axle are there any negative problems I will encounter? Oh, one more thing, can I use dana 44 outer axle stubs attacthed to the Dana 30 in-shafts, so I can use Dana 44 spindles, hubs and brakes? Thanks,

I just moved my shocks from the front to the back to help clear my steering better. I don't see a huge issue as the factory moved them to the rear for stock.

Only if you go inner aftermarket/alloy type shaft. The Dana 44 uses the larger 297/760 U-joint while the inner stock 30 uses the smaller 260 U-joint.
