dash speed warning?

    when i was a little kid my uncle had an old jeep
    and i seem to remember a warning on the dash saying
    warning do not exceed 35MPH

    am i remembering right?
    or did i just dream that up?

    IT SEEMS LIKE IT WAS PAINTED ON.

    this was 40+ years ago so i dont know if i really remember it or if it's a fig newton of my imagination....

    Many M38a1's if not all had the max speed rating painted on the lower portion of the w/s frame. I want to say it was 45 mph though. I also recall them having the tire pressure painted on as well but could've been on a data plate or the dash...
