Well I need a new slave cylinder on my JEEP. It leaks the whole MC out in no time. My current setup is on a 231 OF. The previous owner put the hanging peddles and complete setup on. Will the one for an 1980 CJ5 with the GM 151 work? here is the one I am talking about. It looks the same. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Clutch-Slave-Cylinder-Perfection_3654788-P_236_R|GRP60006_577114976___
Any help would be good. I need to try any get the number off of the current one and try and cross it.

Well since I didn't get any bites I just took the slave cylinder out and I am going to bring it to my FLAPS. I would think with a part # and measuring it up we can figure it out. The cylinder in the link is wrong. I need a different style. Wasn't looking too carefully I guess. I will figure it out somehow. R)

I'm guessing why you didn't get any hits is without knowing what you have now for sure it's hard to know if something else will fit.

Taking it to Flaps and doing some measuring and cross referencing part #''s may be a good way to go.

That's what I thought nickmil. I just know there are people out there with hydraulic clutch conversions. I was wondering what they were running. I should take a picture of this slave cylinder. You will all laugh. looks like they welded a piece of threaded rod to the piston. It could have broken but not likely. Well now it is out and I can get somewhere. I have a lift coming so I need to fix this before the lift. I will get it done. I have no worries and no frustration.......well not yet.R)

Found the right one after a day. My guy at the FLAPS was good. Had to do some customization to the rod by tig welding on a piece of threaded rod for adjustment. I put it in on Saturday and bled the cylinder. There is still just a little bit of air in the system but I let her sit for a few days now so I will try again later. The old slave cylinder was a perfection brand. Now it is nice to have her back driving. Next thing is the lift.

can you please share that part # and maker with us/me .I would like to eventually go this route, but right now I'm building muscle in the left leg.:) ,do you need to have swinging pedals or can this hydro mod be done with off the frame pedals?
