Channel iron on front crossmember?

    Was this piece of channel iron original to the frame, or an add on? Was an attachment point for a steering stabilizer. If it's not stock, should I remove it? I'm in the process of a total restoration to original. Any issues with frame integrity?

    That was not stock. These Jeeps didn't have steering stabilizers from the factory.

    Definitely not stock. If doing a resto remove it.
