Check eBay. I think I saw a listing this morn. There's also an 11" drum upgrade on there fairly regularly.

Hi. I just did a disc brake conversion on my '67. I got my kit from a guy in northern California, but unfortunately I can't remember his name right now and I'm not at my home computer to pull up the old e-mails with his name. I know that "Herm the Overdrive Guy" sells a kit for about $650. You can Google that name and it will take you right to his website. The kit I used was basically parts from a '78 jeep. There may have been a custom caliper bracket made to fit the knuckle, but I'm not really sure. I didn't see that caliper bracket on any of the parts websites or the Jeep repair manual I have, so I think it was made just for that. Othere than that, the kit was all '78 disc brake parts. Figuring out how to put the caliper on the mounting bracket with the "key" they used in '78 was a little tricky, but I finally got it. The only real problem I had was that the inner bearing oil seal would not go on the driver's side hub. I went through 3 seals before I just decided to order a new hub. With the new hub, the oil seal went on with no problem, as did the passenger side seal. I would give Herm a call and talk to him about his disc brake kit. By the way, my '67 stops a whole lot better now with the discs. It had a 11" drum upgrade, but I still didn't like it, but I'm running 35" tires, not stock. 11" drums may be OK with the stock tires, but I prefer discs. I'm sure you'll enjoy the differences the disc brakes make.

You might try calling them direct at 503-557-8911 as they've been having computer issues. They sell disc conversions for early CJ's as well as the 11" drum set ups. They were mentioned in one of the mags recently when one of the writers did the 11" set up on his yellow flatty.
