    About to buy a 4x8 sheet to basically rebuild an entire tub. You know, one of those deals where a new reproduction tub would probably cost less, but where's the fun in that? Anyway, 16 or 18?

    18 matches factory metal, plenty thick if protected with proper paint. also alot easier to work than 16 ga $.02

    I bought both, I'm almost finished and I've used almost all of the 16, I have 2/3 of the 18 left.

    I guess I just liked the heavier stuff best JMO

    dosen't seem like it but weight will become an issue if you overbuild a tub

    I've got a 4x8 sheet of 16ga that showed up today, just got the call. It's for the tub that I picked up from ya. 60 bucks..:flag:
