vacuum pumps

    what would be a good way to test the one on my 63 f-head? engine runs great but smokes(light blueish). the plugs are clean, haven't checked compression yet.

    Vacuum pump has nothing to do with how the engine runs. It's there to run the vacuum wipers and possibly the heater mode doors. No other function on an Early CJ.

    ok I wasn't sure if it could pass oil into intake.haven't spent mutch time checking. the guy I bought it from said something about an oil port in head. just trying to get an idea of the whole system.
