Body Mounts for a 69 Cj=J5

    A quick question the body mounts for a 69 cj5 I think there made out of belted rubber how thick are they and in what place. I only have one left on the front and its about 1/8" thick. Does any know off the top of there head. Thanks Guys any help would be cool. :v6:

    You'd be better off replacing them with some of the aftermarket poly mounts. The originals were just hunks of cut-up tires.

    Or are you asking how many there are and where they go?

    Yup, replace with the poly ones...
    Seems I remember there was 11, plus the one under the grill....Or is that too many....

    I think that's right...The oddball (11th) is under the toolbox...

    Lesse...working from back to front:

    4 on the rear crossmember - two inside the frame rails and two outside.
    2 (one on each side) where the floor level changes from front seating area to rear
    1 in the toolbox
    2 (one on each side) in the front seat footwell areas
    1 under the grill.

    That's 10...what am I missing? Is there an extra one on the DS frame rail?

    Two on the crossmember above the rear axle also IIRC. There were 14 in my ECJ5 kit, they didn't list one for a flatty. :(
