Need 79 caliper brackets

    Does anyone know of a conversion or compatible Ford or AMC for the 79 CJ 5 caliper brackets. I just finished a frame off cj and can find no left and right caliper brackets to finish the job. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif

    You can use Scout 2 brackets. They are identical in every way except they use 8 studs to retain them instead of 6 like Jeeps. They can be re-drilled with no issues if you are careful. I've done it many times but you have to "clock" the bracket correctly. 2 of the bolt holes line up already if I remember correctly. I'd put an ad in the classifieds. If no luck there then you might try the usual suspects, J&W, R&P, etc.
