at $350 apiece, I wouldn't be worried about who made them. cheapest new glass tub I have seen is about 3-4 times that amount

Since they're selling at about 1/5th the price of known good quality tubs, I'd be real concerned about fit and finish, and how they'll hold up over time. They might be good for a parade vehicle, but will they hold up to real world use? You get what you pay for, especially with that much price difference.

Nice price - but not sure about that molded in rear seat arrangement. Also - some oddness under the front seats - are those supposed to be dual toolboxes?

Then again, you have to balance the risk against the reward. If I had a rusty Jeep that needed a tub, and that I didn't have a lot of time and money in, I might try one. I certainly would not spend a lot of money on building a frame and drivetrain and then buy a bargain tub, but for the right vehicle, sure. Think of it as a fun project that, if it turns out to have problems, you can sell off.

Somebody's bright idea about "improving" the Jeep tub? Could be why they don't sell and are cheap. Those differences would be easier to overlook if the tub were attached to a running, driving Jeep.

When I saw these on the bay I assumed it was from a small fiberglass tub manufacturer that had gone out of business years ago and these were old stock.

Does anyone remember anything like these tubs before?

FWIW, I'd buy one like Tim said. For the right application.

Intersting in that one of the pictures shows a tub without the rear seat arrangement and has ribbed floors. I wonder if they have a couple of varieties?

I saw those and thought of using one to make my wife's mud truck out of.
HMM fiberglass body, custom frame, 351W/C-6/205/Dana 70 rear (maybe 2wd for sand/dirt racing? maybe not...)
doubt I'd put one on a hi $$$ project, but for what I want, SURE!

so there is a chance that they could be decent tubs then? you can't necessarily just the quality by the price that the guy is selling them for.

The one pic that shows the ribbed rear floorboard and fendewells has holes in the fenderwells. Maybe a return or display.
