What are the torque specs for the bolts on the oil pan? Just hand-tight or does anyone know a number?

    Thanks.

Got a factory manual? It should be in there.

There's a '72 manual at www.c104.net ... any manual from this era will do.

In general, 9-11 for the 1/4 inch bolts, 11-15 for the 5/16" bolts. Pretty universal across gas engines. The most important part is to not overtorque and either bend the pan rail or split the gasket. I generally just go pretty snug with a 1/4" ratchet and recheck after the engine has heat cycled a couple times. Use gasket sealer, too.
