Why not just replace the top of the transmission? The shifter should be an integral part of the top cover of the tranny.

You may try Herm the overdrive Guy. I know when I was at his place a month or so ago it looked at if he may have what you are looking for.

T14 shifters are so hard to find. I don't know any companies that make new ones and the dismantlers often cut the canes of the used ones when extracting from the donor Jeep.

Is it weldable? The finger and ball are the only items with any real critical features and the rest of the shank can be lathe turned and threaded then bent with heat once in place.

A T15 or T18 out of these later Jeeps can be made to fit but would require bellhousing adaptation. The Dana 18 input gear is also different - your T14 has a 10 spline output shaft and the T18 and T15 have the much-more-standard 6 spline shafts. This is a case of Jeep parts not mixing too well between generations / ownership.

w3srl because i cant find one

bergy9 ill give them a try thanks

Eric-69-CJ5 yeah the finger from the ball down snapped off in the transmission i was able to recover it though but its busted off in a way that even if i did get the rest of the saft out it would be use less to weld because most off it shattered in to shards that are brittle and weak

thanks for all of ur help so far :coffee:

I just gave one away couple weeks ago to a shop...I could go ask for it back if you can't find anything else...this would be a complete T14 tower assy.
    (assuming they still have it)

Herm will most likely have one. R&P usually has several kicking around. They can be reached at 503-557-8911.
