I have a 304 in my 79 CJ5 which burns oil, it also has 129,000 miles on it. I got a good deal on a 360 if I want it, $300. Will the flywheel off the 304 bolt on to the 360 or should I order a new one from the auto parts store?

AMC engines are externally balanced, so you should get a 360 flywheel.

Correct. You need a 360 flywheel.

Cast flywheels (like the factory type) are available aftermarket for about $100. You can also get billet flywheels from Summit or Jegs ($$).
