The Jeepster has the same WB as the CJ-6 but the frame is different - the rails may be the same, but there are a lot of differences in the way the springs mount, etc.

This Jeepster looks like it's seen a fairly easy life ... I know that it shows a lot of neglect, but it doesn't seem too beat up, except for the front bumper. Jeepsters that have been driven off the pavement a lot either have dents in the rockers or some kind of rocker protection - this Jeepster has neither.

I'd suggest you just get it driveable and then reliable, and drive it while you figure out what you want to do with it. They are fun to bomb around in, and will go some amazing places in factory form.

The half-cab is neat, scarce and desirable. Note that most people call the roadster (ie no top) a convertible when they add an aftermarket soft top. Jeep did sell a true convertible, with a factory top that folds down ... to me, this Jeepster was not a convertible - the requisite factroy parts are missing. The convertible is a true rarity, and the most valuable of the Jeepsters - there's a picture in one of the banners that comes up with this site. Be glad you got the half-cab though - that's a great thing.

    Welcome from Boston!
