reassembiling dana 18

    My question was do you use permetex at the seals and on the splines, i know to permetex the bolts and the gaskets.Thanks as always i know someone will have the answer:beer:

    Hello,

    When you are talking about splines, are you refering to sealing the splined output shafts prior to putting the yoke on ?

    Yup. I prefer putting the sealer on the splines in the yoke then sliding it on vs. putting sealer on the output shaft splines then sliding the yoke on. Reason is if you put it on the shaft then when you slide the yoke on it can force sealer into the output bearing. Put it on the inside of the yoke and much less likely for this to happen....
