I'm in the middle of rebuilding my T90 transmission. The oil shield/pickup thing in the transmission is getting hung up on the little ring gear thing on the input shaft. I've punched the shaft out of the cluster gear assembly (maybe this is not the proper name, it is the group of gears that lives in the bottom of the transmission) and let it fall to the bottom of the case (as per instructions). I've been messing around trying to work the input shaft out of the front but again, the oil shield is in the way. What am I missing here?

You just need to move it out of the way. It can be done, you'll just have to experiment till you get it out of the way.

lol...okay. I guess I'm out of experimental idea's....been fussing with it for a couple of hours. I can't believe that a 1/8th inch of steel is causing me this much headache... :)

Remove the bearing from the input shaft using a puller. Then you will have th room to remove everything. Nickmil
