Gasket/sealant

    I have a quick question: I pulled my transfer case on my 57 cj5. If I use aviation permatex do I need to use the the cardboard gaskets? It seems like overkill especially with the sealant. If I'm wrong please tell me. Thanks -G

    The gaskets also act as a shim to help set clearances. Use them..... Nickmil
