    Hi all,
Hopefully I'm back in a big way to working on the 53 3B. Too many fish needed my attention this summer. My situation is that when I got my F134 :hurrican: back from being rebuilt, I loosened two head bolts at opposite corners to install a sling for lifting. Last night while working to put the oil pan and accessories on, I realized that I had not sent the oil filter bracket to the shop and I now need to remove two more head bolts. My question is do I need to loosen all the bolts and retorque completely once I get the engine on the chassis or can I simply torque the four bolts and be good? I realize that this would most certainly give the best results, but I am curious as to your thoughts on what is commonly done and sufficient. Thanks as always.

Just re-torque the bolts you took loose. If the other bolts have not been messed with you are doing something for nothing and damaging the head gasket to boot.

    what they said
might recheck all of them at whatever interval the engine rebuilder specified: 500 miles. 1500 miles etc
